So happy you and Sabrina had a wonderful visit! Looks like great fun. MM and PW are adding a boarding house. Have fun with the wonderful ladies at Dying to Stitch--wish I was there

Hi Paulette,

it looks and sounds like you had a great time. I too want to visit The Merc, but from NZ that's a really long trip, so I have to make do with photos from wherever I can find them.

Thank you for sharing yours.

Regards, Marian

It looks like you and Sabrina had a great outing. I wish you safe travels to VA Beach. Enjoy your time spent with the Dyeing to Stitch retreaters.

Hi Paulette - hope you have a great time at Dyeing to Stitch and the next dreaded hurricane doesnt' hit up there. I loved seeing your photos and hearing about the Mercantile - it sorta reminded me of Paula Deen's place in Pigeon Forge Tenn. - the store part not the menu part. I think Rees place is a lot less generic. safe travels - Mel

Oh what a fun time with Sabrina! That shopping looks like fun! Thanks for sharing your trip! Loved the pics! I know you are going to be on a Stitching retreat high this weekend! Wish I was going to be there for the fun and to see your sweet smile! Have a great time and safe travels. Hope to see you at market!

This post was well worth the wait! Mom & I have Pioneer Woman on our list of places to visit soon. Thanks for the extra motivation!

What beautiful pictures! I live about 2 hours from VA beach on the peninsula. I now have a new place to visit!

You probably drove through the sleepy town of Barnsdall on your way to the Merc.

Martha Kirkcaldy
