I've got 2 new releases and the third Sampler Lesson ready to ship to shops in a couple of weeks, but I'm really excited about this new release because it's mounted inside a Lone Elm creation: a stitching cabinet!
Blackberry House
Stitch count: 167w x 224h
Fabric used: 40 ct. Olde Towne Blend by R&R Reproductions
Threads used: Classic Colorworks in Tennessee Red Clay (DMC 356), Pebble Beach (640), Antique Lace (3072), Cappuccino (779), and Cobbled Peach (950). The Gentle Art in Amethyst (451), Wood Trail (645), Aged Pewter - 2 skeins suggested (169), Moss (730), Endive (3011), Garden Gate (3787), Black Licorice (3371), and Currant (3857).
Model stitched by: The darling Kathy Krause!
This is cross stitched over two threads throughout the design, except for the horse weathervane above the purple house (this is stitched over one thread in a tent sttich or full cross). A numbers chart is included so that you can change the year, or leave it off altogether and personalize it with the alphabet included in the graph.
Another stitching option would be to stitch just the middle portion of the chart, omitting the stars and scalloped border above, as well as the alphabet box below the urn. (However, if you plan to mount this inside of the stitching cabinet, you may want to stitch the whole sampler!)
The cabinet is so beautifully made, and I was honored to receive it from Stephanie to use with this design. All of the attention to detail is perfect, as is the Vintage Slate color!
The cabinet is sold exclusively at Lone Elm Lane ($248, which includes shipping), and comes with a miniature sewing tray and the foam core to mount your needlework. Because of its construction, you can actually remove the backing inside the cabinet door to change out your samplers!
This is the inside of the bead-board cabinet, along with the sewing tray...
Thank you for stopping by to have a look! I'll be back soon with my next release: Olga's Tart!
WOW! (I actually said that outloud). The stitched piece is so so beautiful, Paulette! What a different and pretty way to finish it! I LOVE this!!! :D Cathryn

OMG, I love this! Sigh. Well that's good news. I've lost my stitching mojo. Maybe you'll help me get it back. (BTW, I hate how these overdyed threads have inconsistent dye lots. Extremely inconsistent. You wouldn't think about using something else, would you??)

This is so beautiful! It will match the colors of my house absolutely perfectly and even the oak leaves are precious to me as they were featured in our wedding stationary and motif. Can't wait to get my hands on it. :)

I love both the pattern and the cabinet! I have been trying hard to use things from my stash, but I seem to be failing miserably. I will definitely have to have the pattern and maybe the cabinet. Love them both!!

Truly I have loved all of your designs but this one is stunning, gorgeous, etc. and the combo with the cabinet is really heirloom. I think the UPS man will sneak an expensive package, known only to me, very very soon! I miss the Hare family :)

Wow, this is gorgeous, got to put it on my 'to buy' list.

Margaret, the numbers in parentheses next to the overdyed floss names are the DMC equivalent of the overdyed floss. Paulette always Includes the option of using DMC's.

This piece is stunning Paulette! The cabinet just adds to its beauty. Quite a few of the colours used form the palette of colours in my living room so I can hardly wait to stitch this one.
