I love making up rhymes. They don't necessarily need to be grammatically correct, but I like to have fun with them. Usually I'll make up silly things while driving or ironing, and some of them make it into my samplers (like the one in My Handworke; I almost scorched a shirt coming up with that one). This time, however, I was in the shower. Most people sing; I make up rhymes. And it isn't until the water runs cold that I realize I've been standing there, staring up at the ceiling, trying to figure out what goes with "there once was a chick from Zimbabwe."
Here is my third and final release for the Nashville market later this month.. after abandoning the Chick from Zimbabwe, "Thirteen Owls" is what I ended up sputtering out.
It's stitched on 40 ct. Vintage Woodsmoke - one of my favorite colors from Lakeside Linens. It calls for Crescent Colours in Blackbird, Whatley Woods, Stepping Stones, Ye Olde Gold, Copper Penny, Wisconsin Woods, Antique Lace, and Camouflage. I hope you like it!
Now let's see.... there once was a chick from the Ukraine...
Oh my mum is going to fall for this one!
I'll order it from my LNS. Thank you for the great design, the birthday party shared with us, and for the beautiful design "be true" that I want to stitch right away.
Hugs from france,
Lili
