I may have mentioned once or twice that I love crowns. Love them. So imagine my tremendous surprise when my first-ever cyber friend, Chris, sent me these to add to my kitchen:
There is actually a third large crown, but would you believe I ran out of nails? Who in this century runs out of nails? I shall order the royal blacksmith to make me more.
In the past, Chris has sent me other gorgeous gifts.. these linen towels are to die for!
And although this easel she sent to me doesn't have crowns on it, I thought I'd include it here anyway bc I absolutely love it! This is the iron bird at the top... (I think I'll try to woo Chris's royal blacksmith over to my place and send mine to the scaffold. I like hers better.)
I use the easel for a Blackbird Designs' chart I stitched a few years ago...
Chris and I usually do an annual Christmas ornament exchange each year, but this year was a little off for me, so I didn't get to make her one. However, much to my surprise, she still gifted me with an ornament, and I'm humbled and honored! Thank you so much, Chris.. what a dear friend you are.
(Her stitching is perfect, as usual.) :)
I'll have to stitch her two next year! (Btw, Kim, I think we should get Chris to start a blog, don't you? I'll have to contact her royal blogsmith and tell him to get with it.)
Speaking of crowns and stitching, I started a model many moons ago called "The Queen's Sampler - Eliz I." I rummaged through my dusty projects and took a little sneak for you.
I have no earthly idea when it will be finished, but I'll do my best to have it done in time for Nashville's market. I should probably get a move-on.
Thank you again, Chris, for your friendship and generosity. 'Tis been awfully fun to receive. :)
Wow! I love those crowns! Sounds like Chris and her royal black/blogsmith are great gifters! I hope she starts a blog -- post a link if she does! I love that easel too, and the piece that's on it. And the ornament. And the sneak peek. Not enough of a sneak peek, but I'll settle for it. :D
