Every year, during the first week back to school, there is the Annual Back-to-School dance for the high-schoolers. It's something akin to a Halloween party, with the different classes all dressing up according to their chosen theme. (The only exception to the rule of dressing up applies to the lowly freshmen, who are not allowed to dress up for fear of being scolded by the older kids. I think it's something to do with a rite of passage or something... all I know is I'm glad I'm not a teenager in today's world, bc I don't get the rules.)
This year, many of the senior girls decided to go as Go-Go girls, or their version of it anyway. Breanna had 3 of her good friends come over and they spent about 14 hours preparing for the big dance, with Sophie running various errands for them... "Go get me a toothpick so I can seperate these fake lashes, Sophie!" and stuff like that. She was eager to please, no doubt absorbing the whole teenager experience with blissful anticipation.
The dance started at 8:00, but the girls will be fashionably (?) late, since they just left a half-hour ago. Big entrance and all, I suppose. (Oh how I wish I hadn't recently made Mike throw out his clothes from the 60's, bc I'm positive he had something in there that would have made Austin Powers proud. But all that's left of Mike's 60's wardrobe is his chest hair. Sorry, honey. You know I'm just kiddin'.)
Anyway, have a good time girls! Yeah, Baby, Yeah!!!
